Stephen Kuusisto
Stephen Kuusisto is a Professor and Fulbright Scholar graduate of the University of Iowa where he currently teaches courses in creative non-fiction and serves as a public humanities scholar in the University’s Carver Institute for Macular Degeneration. Mr. Kuusisto literary works are inspired by his life experiences of being blind since birth. The New York Times says he is, "a powerful writer with a musical ear for language and a gift for emotional candor". His most notable works include; Eavesdropping: A Memoir of Blindness and Listening and Planet of the Blind; A New York Times "Notable Book of the Year". In addition he has appeared on programs including, The Opera Winfrey Show, Dateline NBC and National Public Radio.
