Antivirus Support Information
Juniata College requires all Windows computers have an Anti-Virus software package installed and be updated to the most recent version of virus definitions. We do not supply a copy of this type of sofware. If you need to purchase an Anti-Virus software package, please see the recommendations below.
Purchasing an Anti-Virus Software Application
1.) Some supported applications that can be purchased online are: Avast, AVG,F-Secure, Kaspersky,
McAfee, Panda, Symantec, TrendMicro, and ZoneAlarm.
NOTE: These applications are listed as being supported by our campus registration and remote access vendors. The college can not guarantee compatibility, but will work with our vendors to the best of our ability to identify and isolate problems with these supported applications.
3.) Other less common applications may still be supported. To check if this is the case, please use the pre-scan link in the next section. NOTE: This does not guarantee compatibility against our remote access system since the list of supported packages varies slightly.
Install and Prescan your machine
1.) Install the new antivirus program per the vendor's instructions.
2.) Open the newly installed application, download the latest updates for the product, and run a full system scan.
