Juniata College Firepass Instructions – Internet Explorer 7 and Above
1.) Navigate to https://firepass.juniata.edu (https://firepass.juniata.edu/). The Firepass appliance will search for the client installation on your computer.
2.) Firepass must install a client on your machine for Antivirus checking. Follow the directions on the screen, clicking the Information Bar to "Install the ActiveX Control."
3.) A security warning will appear confirming the installation of the ActiveX Control. Choose the "Install" option.
4.) The ActiveX Control will install and the computer will be scanned for Antivirus software at this time. A screen similar to the one below will be displayed during this process.
5.) If the computer is found to have an Antivirus program and that program is up-to-date, the Firepass will ask that you scan active processes for Viruses. Choose this option to ensure your computer is protected. At this time, if your computer is found to be without an Antivirus or that Antivirus program is out of date, you will be informed a this time.
6.) Once active processes have been scanned, the Firepass login screen is displayed. Enter your Juniata College username and password to gain access to the Firepass. There is no need to enter the "JUNIATA\" before your username.
7.) If you have successfully logged into the Firepass, a screen similar to the one shown below will be displayed. If you have encountered troubles logging onto the Firepass and you have tried your username and password three times, please contact the Helpdesk at x3619 or submit a ticket using the password "JChelp" at http://schooldude.juniata.edu (http://schooldude.juniata.edu/).
