Secure Printing on the Ricoh MFD
The Ricoh MFDs have a secure printing feature that is useful when confidential printing is required and the machine is located in a public area. This feature basically allows the user to secure the print job with a password. The print job will not automatically print out of the machine but will be held until released by entering the password on the machine's display.
Setting up the Printing
Go to File, select Print. Click on Properties. On the setup tab you will see a drop down menu under Job Type. Choose Locked Print and click on the Details button directly underneath.
You will be prompted to enter your userID which can simply be your eaglenet user name and then enter any 4-digit number as a password and click OK. Click OK to send the print job to the selected MFD.
Get the Print Job
At the machine, press the Printer button next to the display. Choose "Display Locked Print Jobs." A list of locked print jobs will display with the UserID and the time and date it was sent. Select your print job on the screen and press Print. You will be prompted to enter the 4-digit password you previously assigned to the print job. Once you enter the password your document will print.
