Chemistry faculty positions
The Chemistry Department at Juniata College seeks to fill two positions: 1) a one-year sabbatical replacement in inorganic chemistry for the 2010-11 academic year and 2), a full-time (12-month) laboratory teacher/coordinator position to begin June 1, 2010. The sabbatical replacement will teach introductory and upper level inorganic chemistry courses. Applicants with an earned Ph.D. and (preferably) post-doctoral or teaching experience should submit 1) a statement of teaching experience, philosophy, and interests; 2) a curriculum vitae; 3) undergraduate and graduate academic transcripts; and 4) three letters of recommendation.
The responsibilities for the laboratory teacher/coordinator position include working with faculty to design and teach introductory level laboratory courses and to manage laboratory facilities, instrumentation and student assistants. Dynamic, well-organized candidates with an earned advanced degree or equivalent experience in chemistry or a related field should submit 1) a letter of application addressing relevant teaching experience; 2) a curriculum vitae; 3) undergraduate and graduate academic transcripts; and 4) three letters of recommendation.
