Unity house
The Unity House was a unique concept that became a reality in January of 2005. Located at 1905 Moore Street, the Unity House is the home to the offices of Campus Ministry and Diversity and Inclusion. In Juniata's efforts to meet the diverse cultural and spritual needs of our growing student population, these two offices found themselves working together quite frequently. Sharing the Unity House has provided many opportunities for collaboration between the two offices and the numerous student organizations we work with.
The Unity House provides a conference room for meetings, social space, a full kitchen and an interfaith prayer/meditation room. Students use these spaces frequently for club meetings, discussion groups, studying, movie-watching, or just have a comfortable place to hang out. The meditation room provides a safe space for students who wish to use candles or incense in their worship to do so, as they are not allowed
in the residence halls.
Reserving Facilities in the Unity House
The living room, dining/meeting room, meditation room, and kitchen may all be reserved for use by departments, organizations, or individuals on campus by contacting Dawn Scialabba at (814) 641-3361 or scialad@juniata.edu.
