Studio Fine Art Concentration

Department: Art

We are a growing and dynamic Studio Art Program that offers a multidisciplinary range of studio art courses. The studio POE allows students to choose a Two-Dimensional art option emphasizing painting, drawing, and/or photography, digital art or a Three-Dimensional option in ceramics and sculpture or any combination of the two (2-D or 3-D). We offer a Studio Art POE as an individual program and in combination with other disciplines, such as Art History, Museum Studies, Art Therapy, Communication, Business, Literature, etc. Occasionally, the courses listed below will be supplemented with Special Topics courses at the 299 or 399 level. A person concentrating in the studio arts is encouraged to take upper level courses in the form of an internship, semester at another institution, or through Juniata's study abroad program. The concentration in Studio Art requires between 51 and 60 credit hours.
