The Raystown Field Station (RFS) is available to the public and Juniata campus community for education, research and recreational activities including meetings, retreats, and alumni activities. Because of its remote location on land leased from the Army Corps of Engineers, several safety, communication and clean-up policies differ from those of other campus facilities.

Because of RFS's academic mission, we reserve the right to cancel recreational rentals up until a month before the event if there is an academic request. Events that require significant planning and long distance travel of participants (such as a family reunion) are not subject to this policy. We also reserve the right to cancel rentals when bad weather occurs (see FAQs). Cancellations should be made 24 hours in advance, otherwise we reserve the right to bill for the rental. There is no charge for cancellations due to weather.
Cleaning and set up policy
To keep prices low, all users are expected to leave the facilities in the condition they found it. Cleaning and set up services can be provided for an extra fee.
