The Raystown Conservation Education Partnership (RayCEP) is an effort to combine resources of businesses and other organizations active at Raystown to organize and support education programs for the visitors the lake.  Programs are organized, advertised and delivered by student interns trained by Juniata College.  The interns will also coordinate and advertise existing and new programs from other providers in order to maximize attendance and marketing efforts and to enhance a visitors’ awareness of all of the opportunities that Raystown offers.

Partners in the program provide many types of support including;

    1. Financial support
    2. In-kind use of vehicles for intern travel
    3. In-kind use of boats for offering “eco-cruises”
    4. Sharing of facilities to conduct programs
    5. Sharing of teaching equipment and supplies
    6. Sharing of expertise and training
    7. In-kind housing

In return for support, sponsors can request conservation / nature programs at their lake facilities tailored to their audiences and participate in program guidance and development.    The partnership will advertise all programs at the lake through web and other media resources.  We hope that this program will significantly enhance the visitor experience at Raystown Lake.
