How Healthy is Raystown Lake?
Location:
Lake Raystown Resort

3:00 pm

Individuals will gain a basic understanding of the overall health of Raystown Lake through tests such as pH and dissolved oxygen, and how this relates to our everyday lives.

Polluting our Waterways

Location: Seven Points
Time: 10:00 am

A watershed model will show how Point and Non-Point pollution affect local waterways, and what you can do to help!

Raystown Field Station Open House
Location: Shuster Hall
Time: 1:00-4:00 pm

Tours of Shuster Hall, a certified Green Building, as well as the two new residential buildings will be given all afternoon.

This program will introduce individuals to macroinvertebrates and other stream life. An examination of the insects found in Trough Creek will serve as a general indicator of the water quality. Sneakers or boots are suggested for those participating; extra hip waders will be provided.
